This image captures the strength, courage, and unity of women standing together in the fight for dignity, equality, and justice. United in purpose, these women represent resilience, hope, and the unwavering determination to create a better future for themselves and for generations to come.
Wearing red as a symbol of strength and resistance, they raise their voices against inequality, violence, and discrimination. Their presence speaks loudly—reminding the world that women are not silent, not invisible, and not alone. Each smile reflects resilience; each gesture represents solidarity and collective power.
Through this moment, ACSIS reaffirms its commitment to defending women’s rights, amplifying women’s voices, and building safe, inclusive spaces where women can rise, lead, and thrive. This is more than a celebration—it is a call to action for justice, equality, and lasting change.
When women rise, communities rise with them.

A world where every child and family — regardless of language, culture, or immigration status — has access to safety, education, and opportunity.

During the reporting period, ACSIS Corporation strengthened its international engagement through participation in a high-level conference on climate change and agriculture held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The organization was represented by Mr. Gerald Volcy.
This engagement contributed to ACSIS Corporation’s ongoing efforts to support multilateral cooperation, inform policy-aligned dialogue, and advance sustainable solutions addressing climate resilience and food security, in line with international development frameworks and donor priorities.

ACSIS began as a grassroots community movement in Haiti, created to support young people and families facing crisis and inequality. Over time, the needs grew beyond borders, and ACSIS expanded to the United States to help immigrant and refugee communities living in Delaware.
Today, we serve across two countries, united by one purpose: to help every person, no matter their background, live with safety, hope, and opportunity.
To empower children, youth, and families through education, psychosocial support, community development, and humanitarian action — building dignity, self-confidence, and long-term stability.

This image captures a powerful moment of resilience, unity, and determination as community members walk together toward positive change. Wearing red as a symbol of action and solidarity, they are actively engaged in grassroots efforts to improve living conditions and strengthen their community.
Surrounded by challenges and opportunity, their journey reflects courage, hope, and the belief that lasting change begins when people come together. Through outreach, education, and collective action, ACSIS continues to stand alongside communities—empowering them to build a stronger, more dignified future.

ACSIS Corporation (Action Communautaire de Solidarité et d’Intervention Sociale) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals, families, and underserved communities through education, advocacy, and compassionate support services. Rooted in service and guided by strong community values, ACSIS works to create pathways to stability, dignity, and opportunity for those facing social and economic challenges.
We focus on strengthening communities through programs that support youth development, immigrant and refugee assistance, mental and emotional wellness, cultural integration, and community engagement. Our work is grounded in respect, inclusion, and collaboration, ensuring that every individual we serve feels seen, heard, and supported.
Driven by a passionate team of volunteers and community leaders, ACSIS Corporation believes that meaningful change begins with human connection. We strive to uplift lives, restore hope, and empower communities to build a stronger and more equitable future together.

In Haiti, ACSIS (Action Communautaire Solidarité Intervention Sociale) works in partnership with Oxfam to combat gender-based violence (GBV) and strengthen community resilience, particularly in Croix-des-Bouquets. Through training, awareness campaigns, and the development of referral systems, ACSIS plays a vital role in protecting survivors and educating communities on the realities of GBV.
Following the devastating 2010 earthquake, incidents of gender-based violence significantly increased, especially in displacement camps where thousands sought shelter. In response, ACSIS mobilized a group of passionate young volunteers, aged 20 to 35, who committed themselves to confronting this crisis and creating change within their communities.
Through Oxfam-supported training, these young leaders gained critical knowledge about GBV, including the understanding that women, men, and children can all be victims. They learned how to challenge harmful social norms, provide safe referrals, and engage communities in meaningful dialogue. Many shared how their perceptions changed—recognizing that violence can occur within intimate relationships and that silence only perpetuates harm.
Despite facing resistance and misunderstanding, ACSIS volunteers continue their work with courage and determination. They have seen real progress, including behavioral change among individuals who once perpetuated violence. Their efforts have helped build trust, awareness, and accountability within their communities.
The work is emotionally demanding, yet these young leaders remain committed. With support from Oxfam, they continue to strengthen their capacity, develop organizational independence, and prepare to support survivors through newly established community welcome centers.
ACSIS, alongside partner organizations such as FRADES and the Santo Network, remains deeply committed to protecting human dignity, empowering communities, and building a safer future free from gender-based violence.
